When Healthy Isn’t Normal

Normal is:

Eating fast food 🍕

Drinking soda and alcohol 🍻

Having dessert every night 🍩

Snacking on chips and candy 🍭

Not working out 👎

Anyone that is starting to improve their health or if you’re the “healthy one” in the family knows that there is nothing normal about being healthy according to society.

No one will bat an eye when you’re having a torta with tortilla chips and a michelada on the side but when you choose to say no and decide to eat a salad, or meal that you prepared all of a sudden all eyes are on you? 

Why are you eating that? All of a sudden you’re trying to be healthy huh?

Judgment starts to come your way.

But listen, being a winner DOES make you different and people are scared of different.

Why?

Because it puts the spotlight on them.

Because they’re not willing to put in the work so they have to try to make you feel like you’re in the wrong.

Don’t be discouraged if you feel like you don’t have the support you thought you would have. Like the quote says:

At first, they’ll ask you why you’re doing it, then they’ll ask you how you did it.

Keep showing up for yourself.

Keep putting your health first.

The only way to success is not giving up.
